Meghan Nelson of Dottir is a metalsmith and jeweler creating pieces inspired by simple geometry, organic forms, and pared down illustration. She uses silver and brass to create work that focuses on clean lines and elegant shapes. Ranging from the perfect everyday pair of posts to sculptural statement pieces, her work balances artistry with wearability. All elements of her jewelry are hand fabricated in her Minneapolis studio.
Featured in this exhibit are pieces from Dottir's FLORA and SHAPES collections. The earrings are made of a thin-gauge brass that allows for comfortable light-weight wear, and all work is hand-cut, making each pair unique. All posts and backs are sterling silver.
