Light Grey Art Lab is proud to offer a variety of intimate travel workshops for creatives that are looking to connect with one another, explore new surroundings, and spend time in the field learning and observing our world's most wonderful spaces. The Light Grey Art Camps are 4-5 day sessions, where artists attend professional lectures and gain admission to special exhibits, participate in discussions about history, culture, and the environment. Participants engage with the environment through a wide range of methodology, ranging from hiking, sketching, climbing, and stargazing, to participating in creative workshops led by the Light Grey Team and by participating artists and guest lecturers. Light Grey Art Camp hosts journeys to some of the most spectacular, sublime, and historical places in the United States and beyond. We strive to provide new experiences for artists and opportunities for learning, exchange, and collaboration - it is all about growing as creatives!
**2016 marks for 100-year anniversary of our National Parks System. We head out with sketchbooks in one hand and walking sticks in the other to explore some of our nations most vast, dramatic, and inspiring landscapes. This year, we will explore places such as Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park among others.

We hope you can join us for our next adventure!
The Light Grey Art Lab team founded the Iceland Residency Program in early 2014. Since then, we founded Light Grey Art Camp in order to provide accessible exploratory opportunities to creatives looking to grow, explore and learn together. In our travels, we've had the incredible opportunity to lead groups of artists through rural landscapes, over mountains, near waterfalls and glaciers, and provide creative programming in otherworldly locations. Others have led to meet-ups in some of our favorite cities in the United States, including our home turf of Minneapolis Minnesota for classes, visiting-artist-led workshops and opportunities to learn more about running or leading a creative-business.These programs provide a platform for exchange, learning, creative studies, and exploration.
In 2015, we began the Light Grey Art Camp programming as an opportunity for creatives to attend national travel workshops, be inspired by the environment, enrich their practice through creative relationships, and seek artistic growth. The Light Grey Art Camp program was born out of a desire to explore, understand, and be involved in the world around us. Many of our Art Camp programs revolve around national parks, educational events, and interesting geology. In the past year, we have taken artists to Bryce Canyon National Park and the 14th Annual Astronomy Festival, Zion National Park, Ouray, Colorado and Ouray Ice Park, Brian Head Mountain, Telluride Ski town, Mountain Village, and more.
We are currently offering programming for the current season and will be providing new opportunities HERE. Our programs are application based and do have limited availability, but we encourage artists to reach out to us about their interest in any current or past programming. For more information on the application process, or to say hello, please send an email to email@example.com
Thank you and hope to see you on our next adventure!
