"Since we’ve collaborated and worked together so often in the past few years, we took this show as an opportunity to showcase our shared interests. We really enjoy seeing how our styles mirror and play off of each other’s, so it’s always fun to interpret the same subject matter two ways, or work together on one expanded piece. The Iceland residency last year was an amazing opportunity for us to absorb inspiration from lore and landscapes. So for this show, we decided to explore whimsical and magical subject matter, using similar palettes and central figures to tie our pieces together. We also included several exploratory pieces for our ongoing collaborative book surrounding the mythical kumiho."
